Moving On
I've moved away from certain things
Without apology
And as my thinking slowly changed
It soon occurred to me.
That I no longer felt the same
Toward passions once enjoyed
These days I have much better ones
To aptly fill the void.
Like spending time with cherished friends
And having loved ones near
Giving aid to those less fortunate
A church home to revere.
Priorities and interests often change
And truly, so have mine
Which means my past and present joys
Don't seem to intertwine.
Yes, I've moved on without regret
I'm blessed and quite content
For the good life I am living now
Leaves no room to lament.
