Behold, the day is coming, It will burn like a furnace; And everything crumbling, From the human bitterness. All the arrogant people, And all the evildoers; Disbelief of the Gospel, Will be feeling the fervor. The day that comes they will learn, Unfortunately, too late; For they will intensely burn, And will be learning their fate. It will not leave any root, Not even a single tree; Nothing left to bear some fruit, Only a fiery sea. The Son of God will soon rise, With the healing in His wings; The compassion in His eyes, For people that the fear brings. You will go out as to leap, For you are no longer dead; Feeling rested from your sleep, You are nourished being fed. You will trample the guilty, And making them your foot stool; All the wicked that you see, Because each one is a fool. Remember what Moses taught, All of his rules and his laws; From God is who Moses sought, The rules that will cure the flaws. Before that frightening day, When the Lord is coming here; We have to trust and obey; As well as honor and fear. He will come reclaim the land, Smite the earth that has a curse; Destroy sin where it does stand, And makes a new universe. Copyright © 2016 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
