Have just done it to poetry
For many decades now
Some don't like it
Turn away from me
When I will be writing poetry
In my mind the day I die
If you miss the poet in me
You miss a third of me
Considering myself
Mother
Nurse
Poet
Over and over as time passes
In different orders as the time allowed
Seems nurse days are over
Somewhat mother days are over
What is left is the poet
Who just does it
Some don't like it
Some do like it
People want to know about life
Because perhaps they have those
Same feelings that they are unable to express
As a poet can express feelings in words
Creatively
Not conservative
Liberal
Free-flowing
It doesn't mean
I don't love you
If I write something you see as for you
In a poem
I write from hurt
I write from love
I write because
Of God above
The ability he gave me
To rhyme with rhythm
For that I think him
I thank him
These poems are my prayers to him
The kindly father I missed out on
The all knowing, all seeing, just do it being
Without form, without face, love the grace
He gives
Because of that I
"Just do it"
As Nike says
And live.
