I sit in the part staring at liberty
she hasn't given me any in a while.
The lights burn bright on fifth
another world for the exuberant and rich.
Here in this sanctuary of mine
seclusion surrounds me within the darkness
there's nothing to suppress or imprison my body,
just hear the loneliness beside me crying.
I'm a beggar with no hope of salvation
a man who tried but failed in his life
I've asked for forgiveness...I'm still waiting -
There's a cross partly lit two blocks down
shinning like a beacon, drawing in the flocks to…
to be saved from the ferocious beasts that roam the night
I sit here staring at liberty the effigy of freedom
looking upwards towards the golden cross
maybe these two should get together one day,
come up with a plan…
and put this land to right -
