We are sure if we know,
Jesus if we obey;
For what He taught does show,
How not to go astray.
If you say you know Him,
But refuse to obey;
Then the truth will grow dim,
As a liar each day.
Whoever obeys Christ,
Will be who God does love;
And will not be enticed,
Within this world thereof.
You may be rejected,
By many others here;
But you are perfected,
From love that is sincere.
That is how we will know,
His Spirit is within;
For His spiritual glow,
Has purified from sin.
To say Christ lives within,
Must live in the same way;
Not corrupted in sin,
As they trust and obey.
I am writing to give,
Not a new but an old;
A Law for you to live,
That I already told.
A Law that you have heard,
Truth that exists in Christ;
As written in the Word,
Through love be sacrificed.
The darkness is fading,
As the true light shines bright;
For the love is aiding,
Perceiving through insight.
Anyone who does hate,
Is living in the night;
For they have sealed their fate,
And enter not the light.
