DAYS OF BLOOD AND GLORY
War and bridges
burned and survival
network failures
We beg your pardon
for truths unsung
Standing on one leg
Wounds and recovery
Detrimental differences
Cage and release
flew the free bird
Salutations to an army
of Heroes
Disabling an unstable source
A self appointed government
an inappropriate official
wagged a dishonest finger
The people dodged it's discriminating bullet
Carry on, carry on
And the band marches forward
with drums of victory
It's the little things
that become the garbage
thrown into faces of innocence
The mediator blinked an eye
and drew up a master plan
An argument of magnitude
Fled the small people of harm
into their self made God houses
The perpetrators licked their scabs
of violation discovery
which they should never repeat
The humble would breathe relief
to walk again in this world
outlined with an invisible shield
Treading lightly
with eyes wide open
Without the ramifications
of an uncertain blazing gunfire
The end...
