If King Jr. was here he'd be a gangster thug for real
no more marching peacefully in war filled streets,
no more turning the other cheek;
if King Jr. was here he would tote armor and shield,
no more police k9 attacking us until we are innocently killed or
water hoses spraying us washing us down the hill;
if King Jr. was here we would not
walk in neighborhoods afraid of being
shot in our backs because we would be trained to strategically fight back;
if King Jr. was here we would not still be reaching for the mountaintop
because
our unity would have the power to move mountaintops;
if King Jr. was here I wouldn't be writing this poem
because all racism would have disappeared...
...because all would come to comprehend that humans are the only race on Earth...
