You know some people change things so slowly
That they think the other person won`t notice,
It`s done over a long period of time
So anything they notice they will just dismiss.
Less words of love less time spent together
As these changes continue to steadily grow,
Whatever it may be the gap gets wider
The other person says nothing, but they know.
Time passes as they silently watch and wait
For more changes to take place - and they do,
Not even a blind man could miss these changes
Finally shut out was their fate but they knew.
So the changes had not gone unnoticed at all
Though they came slowly they were all seen,
By keeping quiet and noting it all
It`s more than the other person had foreseen.
The final change came and they weren`t wrong
No fool were they for they knew all along.
