'' Lest It Makes You Blind ''

Write a verse then make it two,
Don't rehearse just make do,
As words disperse they'll appear on cue,
How will it be defined.

You're the master of what appears,
Be it disaster which brought on tears,
Like an aster forming spheres,
Your work is being refined.

Look deep within and deep without,
Head in a spin you experience doubt,
It's not a sin to be devout,
Though at times you'll feel confined.

Your work of art is gaining ground,
Never depart from what you've found,
From the heart is what's renowned,
Those are the ties that bind.

Those words you seek are deep inside,
When things get bleak don't ever hide,
You are unique yes, your own guide,
Ensure that's underlined.

Your finished piece may need revision,
Don't ever cease to use precision,
What you release may cause division,
But to yourself you must be kind.

What you portray opinions will vary,
So, in what you say please be wary,
Some affray can be scary,
It can prey on a persons mind.

Your poem or prose will command attention,
So ensure you compose with good intention,
Don't overdose on apprehension,
