Holding BACK
Fighting with myself, to let go, and let GOD, take control, and get my SON, back on--TRACK
It has been, raining, severely hard here in San Diego
And the homeless, on the street, soaked and wet, had no place of shelter dry to--safely--GO
Saint PAul, devincente, opened their doors
To help house, aid and support those who needed food, and shelter MORE
People flocked to this down town, San Diego, parish
For shelter support and safety, knowing another cold rainy, night on the streets--, in this down pouring-- cold rain,-- surely they would cease-- to --EXIST
My son, he was again on the streets and on the --run
With a place, for safety and rest of --none
I could of let him sleep in my car-- again
Because again, he burned every bridge, ran out of money and had not a --friend
I could have gotten him a hotel room once --more
But i knew i had to hold back, and i dropped him off at the front of the Saint Vincent Depaul--homeless shelter --front--door
It was the saddest thing
For a father to put his son on the streets in the rain, and drop him offf drive away, and to a homeless shelter with so many down on their luck, people, and bring
I told him, that i neede to--GO--and that --HE--needed to get in --LINE
I could see he was trying to man up, be rough and tough at thirty one, and act like he was-- all--FINE
So now today, he is suppose to get from his work some -PAY
And tonight again, im not so sure where he will-- STAY
Oh lord, when your child is off --TRACK
It knocks you down, throws and sets you a--BACK
I know to aid and abide him, it will only hurt him --MORE
For he must pull out of this dilemma--by-- HIMSELF--and --seek --help, --for --SURE
So ---as ---i ---write ---i ---humbly ---PRAY
That this day, positive momentum --to seek help and support with him, will hopefully--STAY
I want to call him now, and check on his --status
But to let him, rise above this all, i know that it is a --must
For he has to be the one to seek help and --support,
Of shelter and every --sort
The bottom last night i PRAY, he has-- hit
And i PRAY, he seeks help and support, to get emotionally, and mentally--, fit
He needs a Psychiatric --evaluation
He needs professional help and supprt from --someone
My --PRAYER
Is some way some how, he will find help and support from this homeless shelter where-- he --now --is, --in--at--down-- town --San -Diego --THERE
