What do working people gain?
Every day from hard labor;
All of the stress and the pain,
They endure for to savor.
I have seen mortals weighed down,
With a burden God gave them;
Changed their smile to a frown,
As they felt God did condemn.
It is lovely how God makes,
Things happen at the right time;
Causing your shivers and shakes,
Not able to make the climb.
He has given you a sense,
Of timelessness in your mind;
Able to tear down the fence,
That has caused you to be blind.
Yet mortals still cannot grip,
On what the Lord is doing;
About your relationship,
And how you are pursuing.
From the beginning of time,
Until to the very end;
Realize that there is no crime,
Within God you must depend.
So there is nothing better,
For any of us to do;
Follow Him to the letter,
With being cheerful and true.
Enjoy the things that are good,
While living through in this life;
Doing all things that you should,
And it will ease you through strife.
It is a gift from the Lord,
Enabled to eat and drink;
Never let it be ignored,
To be responsible and think.
So experience what is good,
That comes from every kind;
Thinking on what Jesus would,
Keeping Him within your mind.
