Freedom Deserts

Chasing the crown,
sitting the throne
-regal opposed

Pursuit once free,
capture enslaves
-jailer demands

Clipping one wing,
grounding the wish
-motion suppressed

Weight pushing down,
hope abandoned
-freedom deserts
