Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Email Poem | Today's Poetry
I am me
I feel I am entering a new phase to my life
A change that will benefit myself and those closest to me
…Those that maybe one day might meet me…?
There is no change in me, except I am older
A little wiser than my younger self would admit
But also a little bolder than my older self can sometimes deal with…
Now though, heading in the right direction.
I have a new love
A new life
The sun no longer needs to shine
To bring warmth into my heart
The sunset no longer needs to set
To set my emotions free…
At long last… I am me!
My grandson has brought me through the darkness
And brought me such joy as to weep
Sometimes life can be so overwhelming
Your heart wants to miss the next beat
But now my heart beats like a lion
I have an horizon to see
Life, sure is getting much slower
But now I get to be me.
