As she is fighting to stay, awake, now, and that is what she is trying to DO
I --just --heard-- her --say, --mommy, --mommy, --i --miss --my --mommy
Im --watching --her --now, --as --they-- went-- out --tonight-- you-- see
Im --sitting --here --on --the --hallway, --floor
As --she --is --saying --now,-- im --so --sad --grand-pa, --im-- so --sad,-- more --and -more
So -i--just--called-- her --to--come-- where-- i--am--, outside-- of --her --door
And--she-- is--here-- on --the --floor --with --me, --as--im-- just--a-- writin-- about-- this-- little --two --year, --old ---grand--daughter-- more
As ---im--- -writing--- this ----little ----POEM
She-- is --on --my --lap,-- and --giggling--, and--wigglin-- im-- not-- anymore --ALONE
She-- is --suppose --to --be --fast---ASLEEP
And ----resting ----peaceful-----and--- DEEP
But-- she-- is --too --full --of --energy--you--SEE
As --she --is --giggling --here --playing-- and --goofing --around-- with --ME
So -my -daughter -when -they -get -home, i -will -tell -Bella-- to --go --in --her --room --and --close --her--eyes --ALONE
So ---one ---day ---when-- she --is --older--- we ---will ---read ---this ---poem--- together--- that ---we ---made ---KNOWN
