The Woodlands

Shadows play within the Woodland
Not fully seen what lies ahead
A change in the landscape if closely searched for
Arise the sun from sleepy bed

Come all who are heavy laden and weary
Into a world that is only for your now
Lose yourself in daydream
Of what you will soon see
Gone is another day
Release for now the how

Follow the road that leads to daydreams
Escape for brief moment what is your today
In fantasy your today can not be seen
Melts away . . . . Melts away

Just ahead stands now the porthole
Birds flying within the wisdom of trees
Gather frosted stardust it is yours to hold
Your minds-eye will help you to believe

This is where I must now leave you
Within the peace that is my home
Peace to all that continue on the journey
Set spirit free to freely roam

Put into memory what you allow yourself to see
Take your escape for just the now
Reality isn't all it is cracked up to be
Within fantasy hope and peace abounds
