The Last Unicorn

The Last Unicorn

An imaginary creature
represented as a white horse
with a long horn growing from its forehead

One Look Dictionary Search

Just beyond the shadows of our minds
Enchantment lives
Where childhood dreams are born

Within moonlit haze of starless night
Stands proud the majestic unicorn

Beyond him stands his kingdom
Of childhood memories to be formed
Without the vision of dreams freedoms
He would surely stand to be the last unicorn

He thought of we who are human
That has forgotten how to dream
Flowers that have forgotten blooming
Leads us to far more stressful scenes

If the humans continue to stop dreaming
No vision will be called
Slowly slipping beyond recognition
Could become his final call

Knights in coats of armor
Damsels in distress
Finds the poet's pen
Without he in their quest

To live he must have vision
So he sometimes will leave a plea
For a poet to pick up their pen
I guess today that would be me
