It's Just Much To Soon

It's Just
Much Too Soon

Dearest Lord I beseech you
To hear this Mother's prayer
If you must truly take our angel
Please ... Don't let it be from here

The Doctors tell us there is no hope
Has this word Cancer truly won
Dear Lord they are trying to tell us
That she will be gone by morning's sun

She is only seven Lord
Its much too soon for her to leave
Who will hold on to her hand
When she crosses heaven's streets

If it is to be that I can no longer dry her tears
Or that she would only live in constant pain
Give me the courage and the words
To tell her it's okay to leave us

Please Dear Lord ... Please!
Let her see her home again
Please ... give to us one more day ...
Just one more day

Let us say goodbye to her
From the quiet of her room
Let us take her home
Dear God
Before her home is made with you

Teddy Bears and her dolls beside her
Within her own bed of satin and white lace
Let it be from there with us beside her
That she sees your holy face

Its much too soon!
Oh Lord It's Much Too Soon!
But ...
If you must take our angel
Let her leave from her own room

I've walked a million miles it seems
Between this chapel and her hospital room
Am I to believe now it is the time
To give our hearts to you

To accept what seems to be your plan
Oh It seems so impossible to do
Forgive me God for my pleas
Oh Dear Lord ...

It's just much to soon!

We have been looking
All over the hospital for you.
You left your phone in your daughter's room.
We have been given a miracle!!!
The experimental treatment
Used as a last hope seems to be working.
Your daughter has awakened from her coma
And is asking for her Mommy.
This is such a new technology
We are not quite sure what to expect.
For now the good news is that she is still with us
And if she can continue to improve
We will be able to let her go home for a home visit.
