Who's Zoomin' Who?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

one fine young crow
not yet large enough but working on sleek
feathers not yet completely filled in
but preened to their peak
he has learned a lesson from his Mother
raw almonds lie under this balcony
its a great place to eat for free
that lady up above
will even talk to you

outside she hears
the  familiar cries
reaches into the old fashioned cookie jar
for another handful to surprise
she casts them over the side
onto the new Spring grass

Pavlovian conditioning
or just pure admiration for their
inventiveness and initiative
first they vocalize their Spring-songs
and then she joyfully scatter almonds
onto the ground
where they belong

the bounty is all around
