My dear old DAD, my HENRY, he had to be on the ball, and always, always, early--,early--all--of--the-- TIME,-all--of --the --TIME
Dad, he grew up, and worked the family dairy farm, and was up, sweating and working way, way, before the sunshine

So his clock
Was to be awake even before the sun was up, --to--work--and --walk

Dad he did more work -starting--at--three-- AM
Than --most --folks --did --all --day --then

Dad he always had to be on the ball, and early early early
He just never could be in a rush you see

Never -would --HE--put -himself- in -a -hurry --rush--or--scurry
Cause ALWAYS--EARLY--EARLY--on--the--BALL--was--my--dear--old--MINNESOTA--farmer---HENRY----HE
