Be thou my vision

This is a a lyrical poem based upon a classical hymn.

Please hearken unto my humble plea.
I open up my heart, and I pray unto thee.
Please now do not forsake me,
in the early golden ages
of the winter season
of life.

For thou are my bright and
shining candle light.
You brighten up both
my days and my life.

You have freely bestowed upon
my: my free gift of everlasting
life. I can live out my
remaining days completely
unafraid.

Some day I will gracefully
walk on streets of gold,
a golden crown shall
adorn my hair.
I shall cast my crown
at your feet.

while singing praises
unto your holy presence
for all of eternity.

Until that great
and glorious
heavenly celebration
day: Please be
thou my vision,
my lord, and my guide.

Love in Christ Jesus!
