In a last show of vanity
Summer leaves an orange-red
hemorrhage over white capped
mountains and casts a shadowed image
Reality
Black are the clouds
as rain torments the horizon
Mt Rainier hidden
with shadowed mist
that washed away the blue sky
Start building the ark am I!
Beauty in the lightning storm
Just don't need rain to be the norm
