A Bitter Past By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Was not so long ago when things
Became burdens of suffering
No peace of mind, no place to rest
One's weary head of days restless
Anger would come to add much fuel
To poor decisions and broken rules
Regretful thoughts too parked its place
Alongside heart and tearful face
So much went wrong yet will would come
To raise the dead inside the one
That thought too late last call was made
To board the ship of many saved
A bitter past serves well its purpose
To ward off spells and spiteful curses
For in the end the tide would turn
To recompense through lessons learned
A Bitter Past
A Bitter Past
