This will be written down,
For those generations;
That are wearing a frown,
Will have admirations.
So the people that are,
Yet to be created;
Will be a shining star,
Are to be elated.
For the Lord had looked down,
From His place high above;
People had worn a frown,
Only hate without love.
He looked upon the earth,
He heard prisoners groan;
Rulers had seen no worth,
From such a deathly moan.
They were condemned to death,
For praising of the Lord;
And to choke them to death,
Being in one accord.
As the nations gather,
For worshipping the Lord
Kingdoms get together,
To be in one accord.
He has weakened my strength,
That I have had always;
A reduction of length,
The number of my days.
My God, take me not now,
In the midst of my life;
Let me live where and how,
With reduction of strife.
Long ago, You had laid,
A lifelong foundation;
So no longer afraid,
Because of salvation.
But you remain the same,
Your life will never end;
So let me still proclaim,
You as my God and friend.
