They wreak havoc and despair in
Waistcoats of bombs bolts and nails
But communities survive and unite
And their fanatical mission fails.
This is the Spirit of our country
A polyglot of many races
Of Religions and creeds
And many colours of faces.
After so many years
Most prejudice is gone
We pay respect to their victims
And in their memory carry on.
Today there may be sorrow
We must work towards that tomorrow.
