If someone is quick to walk away
Then did they ever intend to stay?
Such an irresponsible adult
And their quick exit is the result.
They wanted their life back once again
And family life was just a pain,
The single life to do as they pleased
Was an opportunity that had to be seized.
The children don`t count and what a shame
Just to have a good time is their aim,
The children come way, way down the list
They seem to be so easily dismissed.
They say they`ll not regret the time lost
They`ll have a good time at any cost,
The kids may reject them later on
By then their childhood will be gone.
The kids may be better on their own
With just their Mum to build them a home,
If they were so quick to walk away
They certainly never intended to stay.
