A curtain drawn on yesterday

In the misty rays of dawn's half light

Look left the day, look right the night

Unseen, unheard, the dark has crept

Into the past while lovers slept

At the threshold of a new day's date

A gateway stands, a portal waits

Sweet morning's glow, a promise made

A curtain drawn on yesterday

A panoramic sea of glass

Or if you will, a mirror vast

The past beside the soon to be

A love ship on a lover's sea

In the misty haze of dawn's cold light

Much like the room I've left tonight

A lonely place not worth the tears

Why did I come? I've no idea
