Pale are the roses the color of peach
That searched for a way your heart to reach
Held deep within my soul in a special place
Their thought brings still the memory of your face
What was once our meaning
Remained no longer the same
And yet peach colored roses
Still called out your name
The roses of our just because
Sent to you within the 'what once was'
A symbol sent throughout the years
To bring a smile or dry a tear
Silent as two mimes were we
In the days that were left to you and me
The silence found its way to still whisper your name
It was then again to you the roses came
From within my home I would wait awhile
And then pretend they had found your smile
Sent to you within what remained a warm embrace
Only simple Peach Roses wrapped in pretty white lace
I guess I will never truly know
If your heart found the love sent with each rose
Yet on the day I was forced to turn from you and walk away
Peach Roses from my hands were placed upon your grave
You now look down from Heaven but I pray you can still see
These Peach colored roses placed here from me
Just simple Peach Roses
To say you were and are loved
So special these flowers to my heart
Of our
Just Because
In loving memory of my Mother
Betty L Cash
On the anniversary of her third year passing
Just remember in the Winter
Far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the Spring
Becomes the Rose
