Over my entire life as far back as I remember
Over my life's longest and vastest travels true..
I've planted ever so many plants trees and gardens
That most will last the age of time most they knew..
So many a garden in a far and distant foriene land
Bulbs that multiplied and covered fields afar to see..
Flowering trees that I planted as twigs now tower
Bushes that survived the hand of man in ecstasy..
I've gone back once or twice and I stood in awe
At so much I planted and left there to grow..
And looking then in endless admiration at them
Them now bringing back fondest memories by the score..
Looking up at some that now tower high with pride
Bushes flowering still as during time refused to die..
And my sitting there for but awhile thinking to myself
I'd left my mark over time under many a bluest sky..
Nobody knew of how they begun but my soul it knew
And that mattered most of all to my soul and I over time..
Endless garden I'd planted over all of my time in life
And within I could as if taste life's most beautiful wine..
To stand upon a hill gazing at valleys now in massive flower
And to feel at least a part of myself it will always be..
Simply planting a garden so very long ago in my travels
Long after I've moved on they still will grow in ecstasy..
It's something only those who would appreciate would ever
Understand my souls very inner joy of having done so..
Over the longest road I've been seen learned from in life
And my very soul will appreciate it all in all time to know..
