Poetic-Verses

'' This Is Mine ''

Give it some thought,
To rhyme or not,
Which type would you say is best,
Give it all you've got,
Don't feel distraught,
I'm sure either will pass any test.

Write what you feel,
Factual or surreal,
To the poet there's no right or wrong,
It is a big deal,
That what you reveal,
Keeps your reader on song.

Make it long or short,
Let nothing thwart,
In poetry, anything goes,
Let your mind cavort,
And your words contort,
As long as your artistry flows.

Write ideas down,
Lest you you frown,
When they disappear from your mind,
You'll feel like the clown,
Who's lost his crown,
Yes, your brain can go blind.

When it's on show,
Let everyone know,
But do not be afraid of critique,
It will give you a glow,
When on you they bestow,
That title we know as unique.

To finish a piece,
You will never cease,
The last one you'll want to outshine,
You hold the lease,
For your talent to increase,
Ultimately you can say,

‘' This Is Mine ‘'
