Songs of Life

Simple Tasks

Simple tasks that overwhelm us,
Cause us to lament in shame.
While angels sleep and dream in Heaven,
We toil at jobs that seem mundane.
Seeking gifts we flail around,
Causing all so much despair.
Finding peace in all the chaos,
Rewards us with a gift so rare.
How can we the faint of heart,
Find the strength that we might need?
When panic sets the minds to racing
Thoughts are lost in the quest for speed.
Will we ever find the answers?
Why they say that man once fell,
Would the world that we should vanish,
Leaving nothing left to tell.
