VEMENTU (STARS ARE BLOOD)

If veins are blue
Then skies are blue
If skies have stars,
Blood flows in vein
If stars at skies
But twinkle bright
Then live in veins
The brightest stars.

If skies but light
A darkened earth
With light sublime
At night or day
Then skies are heights
But blood is near
It births the stars;
Have you now heard?

If skies throw ice,
The heaven's filled
If it snows down
The place is chill
How should it dawn
On August's day
To find the earth
But burning bare?

God washes his clothes
In the day
And hangs them up too,
In the night
For all to see.
A darkened world
Would not but learn
The lesson clear

Fountains apiece,
The earth is bare
Why lack we peace
Thus, burning day?
It burns to left
And everywhere
It burns to right
To teach the gay

Weep not, dear child;
It's the earth's day
Someone brought you here
At his faith
To care, to help
To keep and fend
If the earth boils
It boils not yours

Will the earth boil
As I have said?
Or burst apart with
Smokes so rare?
With concentrated
heat and flame?
Well, know that
It will boil the same.

The stars will leave
Their place that day
The sun, the moon
Will pack away
The heavens curtains
Rolled away
Will leave but ashes
In all space.
