WAR IN THE BACKGROUND

There was a war but going on
In the background! In the background!
But now we see it ending right
In our eyes! In our eyes!

They shot and stole governor
Blinking eyes! Blinking eyes!
They shot him dead and hid his corpse
In their land! In their land!

That bursted head; that shepherd boy
With his cow! With his cow!
Did nothing than to roam about
As a spy, as a spy!
