Ireland And Me

Ireland and Me June 27, 2017

We want to be free Ireland and me

We just want to be Irish and free

We never invited the people that came

They came to our country, the patriot game

I think of my friends, taken by them

Pictures of our past, God bless, Amen

I pray to my God it won't happen again

Burned our homes and the protest about clothes

Black flags still fly, people still cry

The people that came still wonder why

Ireland free for you and me

A 'nation again" the way it must be

Walk together with freedom, together as one

Proud to be Irish, God bless the sun

We just want to be free Ireland and me

We want to be Irish and free
