Rosalind
{Frustrated twice broken hearted
I wandered alongside a lake
Met me there
Sir William Blake
He asked me to go on
A flower watching spree
Till then he modified
His “Pretty Rose Tree”
Returned I, saw Blake disappear,
But a piece of paper
Left affectionately behind
On which written “Rosalind”}
A rose was offered to me
Such a rose I never had seen
But I said, “I have my Rosalind”
And I passed the rose over
Then I went to my Rosalind
And made courtships of every kind
But she turned away in anger
And her thorns pricked my mind
{Frustrated twice broken hearted
I wandered alongside a lake
Met me there
Sir William Blake
He asked me to go on
A flower watching spree
Till then he modified
His “Pretty Rose Tree”
Returned I, saw Blake disappear,
But a piece of paper
Left affectionately behind
On which written “Rosalind”}
A rose was offered to me
Such a rose I never had seen
But I said, “I have my Rosalind”
And I passed the rose over
Then I went to my Rosalind
And made courtships of every kind
But she turned away in anger
And her thorns pricked my mind
