My Life (post divorce and empty nest) in Sonnets
The Crime is Wasting Time
Original Contemporary Poetry by author, Jean Parr
“The Crime is Wasting Time”
Dating in 2017 is like going on job interviews
You don't just go on one interview and wait
Then, continue waiting with baited breath to hear the news
You don't just go out with one guy and hope he continues to want to date
One might be sexy as hell, making your knees weak
One man might romance you and sweep you off your feet
One man might be so funny, cracking you up with jokes, tongue in cheek
One man might touch your heart where vulnerability and sensitivity meet
How can I find all these qualities in one man?
Simple, date them at the same time
Sooner or later, the man you need will beckon you and stand
Some might call you a whore and consider it a crime
The Crime is wasting time
Time is no longer a friend of mine
