The Politician
“Vote for me
And you will see
That I work for
You and you only!”
Is the promise
Every rascal makes
And hardily every
Hand he shakes
Smiles with total
Sincerity on his face
Waves and salutes
With absolute grace
But lo and behold
Once he gets elected
He turns his back
On the electorate
Forgets all the
promises he made
All the sweet
things he said
And starts to
work sincerely
Just for his
Own core family
And you will see
That I work for
