Something special I used to really love to do
As I've done sometimes in time now gone by
Is to rise and with a coffee wonder outside
When mornings suns glow not yet lit the sky
To sit while the dying nights shadows appearing
With everything silently giving into a new day
All still asleep inside as darker clouds they yawn
Watching natures purples become lighter far away
My mind thus to wonder some down memory lane
Thoughts of yesterday today and maybe tomorrow
Smiling some of special people times and places
Along with the once or twice moments of sorrow
While nature gently paints it's landscape slowly
One natural brush stroke at a time as only it can do
While sorting out some dreams possible from fantasy
That longest road of life we all have to travel through
