Poem of giving
Giving needed loan to an old lady
A loving gesture for sure
Reminded me of a day several years ago
I had a young family struggling, daily
But there is always someone more in need than you
Young girl, three children
Never worked ex threw her out with kids
Calculating each purchase in hand held computer
Fifty dollar foodstamps
When she got to the registar
Realized she had forgotten the added tax
Thinking of the needed to put back
The little girl wanted chocolate milk
But that was not an essentual
It was payday for me
Still had my partial for Church donation
"I'll pay for whatever is extra and the taxes. " I said
Good deeds always come back
They were selling out the tool I needed
But would only take cash a closeout
I was about to put it back and a man stepped forward
a few Years ago my wife and kids were struggling
We meet and I adopted her kids
We met working at Microsoft
From her lowest things improved
The kids recognized you
Put that Hedgeclipper on my tab
Far greater purchase than some added taxes
No way could i pay him back
He said his wife since that time helped others
In these days of much need
I won' t pay for drugs or booze
And it is selected
But I always Have a little extra for those in need
In my garden grown some extra seed
In my heart helping others fills a need
