A Celtic scarf fell from the sky
I put it on my neck and wondered why
I was taken to a special place up high
To join Celtic bhoys in the sky
There was a big cup at the door
Many trophies on show on a green and white floor
Jinky was there with Danny Doyle by his side
Bobby Murdoch was smiling with pride
Jock Stein stood beside the big man
He said I am not the big man here
Celtic heroes from the past wearing Celtic scarfs
Tommy Gemmel, Ronnie Simpson, Joe McBride put on a show
Johnny Thompson smiled with Charlie Tully by his side
Celtic players wearing green sang the Celtic song with pride
Willie Maley, Jimmy McGrory wearing Celtic green
I met a bhoy called Bertie, said sad to hear you passed
He said I still live downstairs, you'll see me everywhere
The real big man showed his class
He invited us all to mass
The music from the heavens
You will never walk alone
The big man said he loves the Gallowgate
Especially Glasgow Green
Tears and smiles when I had to leave
My Celtic scarf and my trip of green
