War  Fought for the West

War Fought for the West

War drum beat in the West
Duty calls given in the East
With weapons fastened around waist
The East marched to meet the West

East is East and West the West
The belief-They shall never meet
Falsifying belief
The East marched on feet

The babies conceived in Eastern womb
Deserts, valleys and jungles they did comb
Shells hit, bullets pierced
Bodies torn and blood gashed

Blood shed on foreign land
And tears on the wetland
Fathoms deep grief they could not gauge
Hard blow they bore with courage

Bodies laid to rest in graves
Grief stricken souls epitaph did engrave

“War fought in the West
For the West
East did lose
Gallant pearls best “
