A Thief's Tale

I am as patriotic as any man in this U.K., but am totally disgruntled with our Government that awards itsself a huge payrise and passes huge tax benefits on to the richest in the land while penalising the vast majority.   They have no pity or shame.

Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia
And God Save our billionaire Queen
We're so magnanimously paying for
Buck House's renovate and clean:
We're cutting the taxes for those
Who've kept or acquired great wealth
And cutting the poorest's benefits,
Cash starving our National Health.

We're raising retirement age
Only really one reason why,
The hope the lower classes
Do the decenct thing and die.
These days too many are living
To draw their State Pension.
And this drag on the Treasury
Certainly wasn't the intention

We're pulling out of Europe
We've got our country back,
Are they dosing our water
With hallucinatory crack?
The Opposition feeble
Only the Lords showing any guts
Has this once great country
Finally gone nuts,

Hard Brexit on the way, situation gloomy
Who the bloody hell went and voted Tory.
Written by Lord Archer we'd all say
Just another Cock and Bull Story.
So God Save our billionaire Queen
Her kids and her husband Phil
They're worth every single penny
They add to the Social Security Bill.
