All of us look back one day
Thinking of the now one past
Realizing how foolish we were
Of the fact forever nothing will last
We wonder why we lived for all
And forgot to live for as well you
And one day it seems too late in life
To do the things you like to as well do
To paint write songs poetry create
To be more sensual seductive romantic
To dance as if you own the very floor
And to sit in candle light by a fire bright
Enjoying one right then you simply adore
To take her by the hand take her to a place
Where two thus can become ever so one
Not caring at all of yesterday tomorrow
As one in oceans of love until dawn and sun
Hasn't been a lot of this in my own life
But I've been there over time to know
Those few diamonds small worth all strife
Angels ever sublime some of incredible fame
And until this day come what ever may
I've never yet whispered a single name
But we all look back in time in memory
And to be asked whats with that smile
Some of regrets some of gladness some joy
And we just say .. Days gone by back a mile
