Children of the Gael, no retreat, we'll never fail
You'll find us everywhere, free and full of care
They tried to destroy our country
We're Irish proud and strong
you'll find us in New York, Toronto
You'll find us everywhere
Australia the land of the prison ships
We have made our future there
Hold your head up high, let others ask why
Stand tall, be proud, look them in the eye
No shame for being Irish, no shame for being free
The children of the Gael, no retreat, we'll never fail
The empires gone, the Malvinas, Gibraltar, that's their claim to fame
A peaceful man without weapons beat them at their game
Stand proud and tall, remember them all
They killed our leaders, like Cromwell did before
Peace be with you from Ireland, open freedoms door
We know it hurts when they hear our countries song
Soldiers fight for freedom, just love that Irish song
The places of hate in the fascist state
They came to our country with church and steeple
No justice in mind, just killing people
