     “Summer Storm”

She came on
like a
summer storm
Hot
Quick
and with a lot
of strength
she swept
through the room
clouding his eyes
along with his
judgment
her clothes
clung to her frame
as if they were
teasing him,
alluding to a body
that would soon
dominate
his dreams
from the very onset
of her first
presents
in his life,
she sucked up
all the energy
around her
breathing it
back out
in tainted words
that would rain
a pond him
in the form of lies
and promises
that made him feel
special
chosen
above
all the others,
but he is
unable to see
all the wicked
evil
brewing
all around him,
she surrounded his
world
trapping him
with a false
portrayal
of a calm front
while behind his
back
she was snapping
his friendships
in half
with each step
of her leather
booted heels,
but he
only saw the
sun
in the eye
of this
summer storm
unaware of her
malice
and deceit
in the lives
of those he
loved,
but her reign
has been marked
from the very start
once she has
taken and crushed
all that he has
her charms
and her force
will die
leaving him alone
with nothing
of hers
but her path
of destruction
through his
once sunny life,
she sits
and waits
gathering up
her strength
before
crashing in
on some other
bendable guy’s
Summer Day…
