Since you were brought back to life,
Focus on things from above;
Tolerate what will give strife,
Remembering God is love.
Keep your mind on things above,
Rather than on worldly things;
Keeping Christ in mind thereof,
And all the goodness it brings.
You have died hidden with Christ,
And so now Christ is your life;
No longer to be enticed,
By pleasures that cause you strife.
Put to death the world in you,
In glory, He will appear;
Worldly lust that you pursue,
That you do court and revere.
It is because of this sin,
Anger is coming from God;
Refusing to discipline,
In giving honor and laud.
You use to live such a life,
Of such sinful condition;
But pleasures leading to strife,
Staying in that position.
Get rid of your hot temper,
The cursing and the hatred;
Satan is the great tempter,
To stray from the path you tread.
Do not lie to each other,
Get rid of how you did live;
Be true, support your brother,
God is willing to forgive.
God has chosen and adored,
Be humbly patient and kind;
Forgive others as the Lord,
Thoughts of Christ within your mind.
Be sure to forgive others,
Forgive as God forgave you;
Be loving to your brothers,
Being peaceful telling true.
