This was a home in motion, children's laughter
Days of treasure, doorways of Their growth
Measured...
I see them on the baseball field, holding a catchers
MIT, one by one on the wooden bench, they sit.
Sunday school and Christmas plays, I remember
The joy in those heartwarming days.
Not much has changed, in this old house, still an
Active sensation, as the Grandchildren visit, my
The heart grows warm, to hold and love, another...
Generation...
Sometimes this is an empty house, but it's full
Of memories, it kept us warm in the winter chill
So cool on hot summer days, it's been a friend
In many ways.
Now it stands empty on the hill, my hopes that
It will comfort another family, as it did for mine
This empty house stays full of life through the
The corridors of time...
