Looking into the mirror she stares at the reflection,
It wasn't the same woman she once knew.
Reflections of her life danced before her,
Vivid images of love and falling tears.
Painful words filled her mind at each glance,
Like a cassette player she pushed play and rewind,
Looking back for what pushed her this far.
Was it determination that made her test herself?
Was it the pain and anger that drove her to the edge?
None the less she was very different.
She wasn't full of hate brought by pain,
She was full of life brought by a kind soul.
Times of suffering did not leave her bitter.
No in the reflection of her life came strength,
Life's reflection did not stain her very soul.
Never the less it taught her how to grow,
As she looked at her reflection she glowed,
Staring back is the stronger woman she now knows.
