Medium
She says I resemble her husband
with nothing romantic about it.
I met him once, before he died.
Now she and I always hug, at first sight.
She sighs, closes her eyes and
I hold her underneath her arms.
I squeeze her tightly, like he would have
and she becomes lighter, longer.
I am a medium.
A drum to fill empty spaces
with just breath and heartbeat.
For a moment, becoming Raymond.
