Or a body get a heart
Is there a clash when
Using one as a spare part.
Somewhere I read
A heart has its own brain
So does a transplant
Risk it going insane
Is there a conflicf
A struggle for control
When two foreign parts
Are made into a whole.
They are so careful
When making selection
Potions and pills preventing
Any physical rejection,
But is there mental stress
Is there mental strife
When two separate minds
Combine in just one life.
Does the heart rule the body
Does the body rule the heart
Is there uneasy peace
At the prospect of this fresh start.
Does this symbiote compromise
Appreciating every little breath,
In uneasy but grateful truce
At having so postponed death.
