The Crossover People

From generation to generation
There have always been a few
Who were willing to crossover
I am one of them...are you?.

From the Books of Sacred Scripture
Scripted by a Holy hand.
Comes the crossing of the Red Sea...
The Crossover on dry land!

Then these same crossover people
With the priests taking the lead...
Would Crossover raging Jordan...
The water heaped to meet their need

To gain footing and Crossover...
Once again, on solid ground.
Would we show that kind of courage?
Would our faith be half as sound?

Now it happened on a certain day
That Jesus got into a boat,
Saying "Come, let us Crossover"
For He knew they'd stay afloat...

He fell asleep without a care...
Without a thought of jeopardy
But was awakened by a frightened crew
Crying, "Perishing are we!"

The disciples let a sudden storm
Place fear above their faith.
They heard the waves begin to roar!
Then heard the mighty wind inflate!

The Lord rebuked the wind and waves
Then there came  a peaceful calm.
They relaxed, knowing what they'd felt,
Had only been a trifling qualm.

Yet the thought of just who this might be...
Whom the winds and waves obeyed...
Caused them to marvel and to be
Just a little more afraid.

But they crossed over to the other side
And awaiting them were these
Who were possessed in mind and body...
  Those so damaged by disease.

Yet Jesus healed them one and all...
He never turned one soul away.
And we'll be welcomed to His Kingdom
If we Crossover there today...

All it takes is true repentance...
To turn from sin and seek His face.
Then The Cross will take us over
To a far much better Place.

Exodus 14:21-22
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea;
and the LORD swept the sea back by a strong east wind
all night and turned the sea into dry land, so the waters
were divided. The sons of Israel went through the midst
of the sea on the dry land, and the waters were like
a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

Josuha 3:14-17
So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan,
the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead
of them. Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest.
Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan
and their feet touched the water’s edge,  the water from
upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap
a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity
of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea
of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off.
So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.  The priests
who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stopped
in the middle of the Jordan and stood on dry ground, while
all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed
the crossing on dry ground.

Mark 4:35-41
That day when evening came, he said to his disciples,
“Let us cross over to the other side.”  Leaving the crowd
behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There
were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and
the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped.
Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke
him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!”
Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid?
Do you still have no faith?”
They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this?
Even the wind and the waves obey him!
